Jubilee is a Moody 28, fin keel yacht built in 1986. 18 HP volvo 2002 diesel. Main, headsail (new 2006) and spinnaker with snufffer. Stackpack with lazyjacks for mainsail. Sprayhood, dodgers and cockpit cushions. Wind speed & direction, log, depth, compass, VHF, radio and CD player. Navman Tracker 900 GPS & chartplotter (2002). Eberspacher heating, 220V shorepower fitted in 2003. Standing rigging replaced 2004. 25 lb CQR anchor with 30m of chain and warp. All the usual extras. In 1998 she was built of steel/aluminium by Moonen Shipyards in S’Hertogenbosch, Holland. All tanks were embedded in the steel body as double bottom tanks. At manufacturing exclusively high quality 5 mm shipbuilding steel was used. The general overhaul and technical update of her was in 2003/2004 in Mallorca. In spring of the year 2005 a new over-all lacquering, type “Awlgrip” matterhorn-white, was completed. She is the most beautiful and impeccable Moonen 83 which has ever been built. The first owner was the owner of the shipyard of Moonen. On board of her 6 sojourners stay in 3 cabins and a three-man crew stays in 2 cabins. The entire coated mirror finish is made of mahogany. To enter the Yacht you use the saloon-door abaft, or one of the two side-entrances on level of the helmstand. The Yacht disposes of a powerful air-conditioning system from """Climma"""(three compressors), which cools all cabins steadily, even in midsummer. The same water circulation is effectively used in the winter time for a central heating from Buderus. |

She has cruised the east coast of the USA, the Caribbean, Azores and Atlantic coasts of Portugal and Spain and is now berthed in Devon.
She has proved a fast, safe, comfortable boat for up to 4 people living on board for a month at a time and is fantastic with just two.
She is well equipped for extended cruising to give you total independence from marinas for up to 5/6 weeks at a time.
The 130 watt solar panel and AeroGen wind generator allowed us to keep her fridge/icebox on 24/7 and power all the other electrics needed while sailing, including the autopilot and four-speaker sound system.
The roomy fore and aft cabins allow privacy and comfort, whilst the saloon has ample restful space for days when it's not so bright outside.
The galley is roomy enough for two people to work and has plenty of sink space with a H/C pressurised mixer tap. The Force 10 gas cooker will keep you happy with anything from cheese on toast to a full roast dinner. A 500 watt invertor provides power for coffee grinder, food processor, etc. and is powerful enough to run laptops, chargers or small power tools.
The head/shower is light and bright and a very comfortable size and has pressurised hot and cold water to all outlets.
All cabins are fitted with 12v fans and there are ample hatches and ports to allow for airflow in warmer times.
The cockpit has teak seating for 6 or 7 and a bimini provides good shade. There is a removable central dropleaf table, plus two pushpit mounted side tables, ideal for indulging in those lazy sunset suppers with a glass or two of wine. For the more energetic, the swim platform at the stern is fitted with ladder and a cold freshwater shower.
If your dream is to sail away to southern seas, sun and adventures like we did, or merely to potter around this beautiful coast, you'll be hard pressed to find a better boat for her length!

Built by the famous smack builder A Gostelow at Boston, Lincs, this is a beautiful east coast gaff cutter with a spoon bow and canoe stern, 1.5 inch larch planks on 3.5" inch oak frames very strongly built, originally for the North Sea, 37 feet on deck (45 with bowsprit) x 10 x 5' 8", 6 foot head room in main cabin. Very good sails, all tan. New multifuel puffin stove, 2 burner Flavel Wayfarer gas hob with oven, mahogany dinning table which seats 6 easily, parafin and electric lights, Lister 20hp overhauled and regularly serviced, all rigging overhauled last summer with new running rigging, all blocks serviced stripped and varnished, decks recaulked and painted. New iroko toerails, new sliding hatch, new burgundy hatch and sail covers, spars have been stripped and revarnished. Interior refurbished painted and varnished. New batteries, nav lights and boxes, new VHF DSC, log and depth. Two very long comfortable berths in saloon plus one in the forepeak (this area could easily accommodate a double). Large varnished chart table and heaps of storage both inside and out in nice deep cockpit lockers. Cockpit all teak. 2007 survey available.
